SELF-GUIDED TOURS

Self-guided tours are available during operating hours. Tour includes the Museum, the reconstructed adobe Church, Historic Cemetery, and beautiful Patio Garden.

A tour through Old Mission San Jose’s historic facilities will acquaint you with the Mission Museum (formerly the living quarters), the restored adobe Church, our historic Cemetery, and the beautiful patio garden. For students researching their 4th grade Mission Project, the Gift Shop provides a packet of historical information.

If there is a religious ceremony in progress, visitors must sit quietly at the back of the church until the ceremony is completed. Please note the Mass schedule, esp. on Sundays.

Visitors with disabilities will find all facilities at Old Mission San Jose, i.e. the museum, church, cemetery, and gardens, generally accessible.

GUIDED TOURS

Docent-led tours are available the 2nd weekend of the month at 11:00am on Saturday, and 1:00pm on Sunday*. Ticket includes admission to the Museum.

  • $10/child age 6-12 years

  • Free/child under 6 years of age

There are no refunds on cancellations or no shows. If you need to change your tour date, please contact the Mission office 24 hours before your scheduled tour at info@missionsanjose.org or 510-657-1797.

*Sunday tours include Spanish Organ interlude.

GROUP TOURS

Guided group tours for 10 or more people, or in languages other than English, may be available by special arrangement. Maximum of 20 allowed.
