About Michel Van Devender:
Michel Van Devender is an artist, designer, and creative living in Charlotte, NC. Her multidisciplinary interests have led her down many paths, always guiding her back to a love of art, design, home and family. She is known for her modern, warm, and soulful aesthetic and is drawn to a more neutral palette, especially contrasting black and white.
Michel paints and collages textured and layered pieces, sometimes bold and graphic, other times more organic, from her home studio. She also has a line of goods and wearables. Michel’s work is inspired by travel, architecture, interior and graphic design, fashion and nature.
Considering herself a creative rebel, Michel is drawn to the interesting, often quirky, in artwork, interiors and people. Her deepest desire is to connect with others in meaningful ways and inspire them in some way in their own creative journeys.
